Best buy’s operating model quietly moved away from sales in the early 2010s and into services and show rooming. Vendors pay BBY for display space within a store for the customers who still need to see/touch products before they buy. On top of that, they know that regardless of whether a customer buys there in the store or anywhere online, there is a high likelihood that the customer can’t figure out how to properly use their fancy new gadgets and they will gladly pay Geek Squad to get them going. GS represents over 60% of BBYs revenue stream (maybe more at this point). What this really indicates is that they have decided to invest time into developing crypto services thru GS as they would not deploy a full 4″ planogrammed display space without also setting up service capabilities. This signals a level of retail adoption that is very encouraging for the entire crypto space
I like seeing this.
Bitcoin is winning.
Self custody is winning.
Freedom is winning.
Got one from them a couple months ago (Canada). Everyone was freaking out yesterday that they are tampered with by employees. I donât know how much a 16 year old on min wage would really care to manipulate the stores products. Seems unlikely, but Iâm not 16 anymore maybe the world is all sour.
Regardless, my crypto has been fine in my Best Buy Ledger
Very tempting to go pick one up cash
Bullish AF
tech store selling tech products more at 11
They’re never in stock at my local one. Not that I’d want to buy from there. I’m sure BB wouldn’t have any issues with a return and putting it back on the shelf.
If you want them, buy them directly from the source.
The more people see things like this, and Bitcoin ATM’s, the better.
Looks like the exact same pic from Documenting Bitcoinâs [tweet](https://twitter.com/documentingbtc/status/1617114990124597248) yesterday.
One day weâll be looking to see if it comes in black & brown to match our formal attire
Crypto is so young. Its going to be interesting to see where it is 20 years from now
Awesome
Bullish
Welcome to the future kids

Iâm gonna wait till I can get the open box one for 5% off.
Rule #1 when buying hardware wallet. Only purchase directly from the manufacturer
Ledger wouldn’t let me buy Ledgers from them to sell in retail. I guess best Buy are a bit more reputable.
If I only own like $500 worth of Crypto is it even worth it for one of these? I use Coinbase
Nothing like buying a hardware wallet with cash – no KYC đ
Gotta love Ledger <3
Wait till people start buying hacked âopen boxâ hardware walletsâŠ
I’d still order from website
as soon as you saw that ledger it means its good trust me
The geek team will assist grandmother in writing down the 12 words.
I wouldnât buy one of these. Chain of custody risk is too high.
More than 60% of BBY’s income comes from GS.
