It is an interesting read. He had been buying guns, which he was not allowed to have as a felon, and other stuff, and talking about terrorism to friends. He should have raised all sorts of flags before he used Tor, and very well could have been under heavy surveillance when he used Tor. I wouldn’t be surprised that all his Internet-capable devices had logging software on them.

yes, tor can leave you “”anonymous”” as long as you know the anonymity intermediary, the fbi arrested these guys because they faltered using tor, look how the owner of the drug site was arrested there in 2013
