The answer is really simple and kinda dumb. Reinstall Tor browser to it’s defaults [it’s really important that it installs to your desktop].
Now re-run the i2p easy install bundle (you will probably have to kill the i2p process first – right click on the icon in your system tray and click close, then give it a minute].
There, done. This is a problem when the i2p installer can’t find your Tor browser. That’s the first one that it looks for. After that, it searches for Firefox. You don’t need to (and probably shouldn’t) run Foxyproxy on Tor browser. The idea is that Tor browser is the most hardened browser out, and constantly being tested and updated.

So I have watched countless of i2p videos, read tutorials, posts etc. None of them were straight to the point. I don’t know if they are made by turboautists who can’t relate to the average joe, or if people actively try to prevent regular people from accessing the darkweb. But I will share how to access an i2p link as easily as possible. As far as I know, this is the single first understandable tutorial ever on the entire internet. I hope it won’t get deleted.
I will be explaining it for Mac as that is how i have figured it out.
Step 1: Download firefox
Step 2: Set firefox as your default browser (settings –> desktop & dock –> default web browser –> firefox)
Step 3: Go to settings in firefox
Step 4: search for “proxy” in settings, and copy the following exactly:

Click OK
Step 5: type in the URL bar: about:config
You may have to click accept
Type in the search bar media.peerConnection.ice.proxy_only and set it to “true” as follows:

Step 6: Download I2P ([https://geti2p.net/en/download](https://geti2p.net/en/download) –> I2P easy install bundle for MacOSX –> Intel)
Open it, you should see this:

From here, you should be able to open any .i2p link. Just make sure to put http:// in front of it, otherwise it may just do a google search
