They are best buds now

I’m actually quite surprised that North Korea has competent hackers while starving.

This is what Kim and Putin really talked about last week

Don’t be romantic about Lazarous.

The possibility of a **leader of a dictorship** country is using a group of criminals that brings caos to world and only benefit his peers is discusting.

North Korean hackers are using Russian-based exchanges to launder stolen crypto, proving that even criminals need to launder their money.

Ai_Art_Bug

Now that is the surprise of the century!

I dont think they have many places outside of their little “evil dictator bubble” to go and launder their stolen funds with all the sanctions in place.

FreekTheDog

Note to self: If I ever need to launder money, hit up some Russian exchanges

fanriver

This is sending money to North Korea

Bloody knew it – no wonder Kim and Vlad are now best friends, they’ve both got something the other needs. Kim has weapons and dirty money, Vlad has the technology to help with their nuclear missile programme and can help launder the dirty crypto – whilst probably taking a substantial cut to help fund the war.

“*With the total amount of cryptocurrency stolen estimated at $3.54 billion, DPRK continues to be an incubator for hacking activities and remains one of the largest active threats in the cybercrime landscape,” Chainalysis concluded. According to its estimates, while their share has decreased, groups associated with the communist state still account for 29.7% of the cryptocurrency stolen through hacks in 2023*.”

Those numbers are absolutely insane and devastating tbh 🤯

Mean-Argument3933

Makes sense. They don’t have many other places where they could launder their crypto

Putin and Kim shaking hands in crypto, love to see it

now let’s wait who’s got the better hackers

strongkhal

I’m not sure what’s the point of laundering when we know where the money goes…

Black-Raider8

I would say they’re Russians masquerading as North Koreans. Well, either way, they’re kind of successful with their exploits. If we can’t combat them though, there’s no way Crypto can move forward.

North Korea and Russia is probably together, hated by the whole world

Disastrous_Chain7148

No wonder. I was wondering how they cashed out money and transfer money back to NK. With Russia as brothers, it becomes much easier.

BrocoliAssassin

I hate that so many people in the ruling class are the worse people on earth.

nonameattachedforme

NK and Russia is a match made in heaven. Corruption loves corruption.
