They didn’t. I’ve been getting the same emails for months now. I also use unique emails [email protected] (replace coinbase with every site I register on) and I’ve been getting those spam emails to that account so scammers got hold of the list of emails addresses.

Scammers usually capitalize on events that spark fear to try and get the uninformed to click on a link or take some sort of action so the same fear doesn’t cause them to lose money

Coinbase really needs to implement an anti phishing code into their emails. If binance, Lbank, Mexc, and KuCoin can do it, then they have no excuse.
