Victims of a crypto fraud allegedly promoted by ‘YouTube Stars’ are suing the influencers for $1 billion, claiming they failed to disclose they were being compensated for their endorsements.
#YouTube #Stars #promoted #FTX #crypto #fraud #disclosing #compensation #sued #victims
Not surprised of Bitboy
Kevin O’Leary should be sued too
Unpopular opinion perhaps but I don’t think this will lead to any payouts.
They had no way of knowing FTX was wholly corrupt and insolvent. Also, unless you pay for specific advise, a YouTube video is simply entertainment/opinions.
Not only about crypto, some of these so called influencers, receive money then just pormote the product without even checking if its legit or good for their followers. It’s good that these people finally need to answer for their part.
Just leave Larry David alone!

I tried reading the article (insert Black Panther reaction “we don’t do that here”) but could only read the first paragraph. I’m curious why “victims” is in quotes in the title though on the site.
Hopefully these so called „stars“ and „influencers“ finally get what they deserve
Not sure how far they’ll get but any bad press their way is a good thing
Hope this sets a precedent so future “influencers” think twice before shilling a service or fishy token.
A win (or somewhat of a win) might help remove some of the YouTube shills or at least deter more people from doing the same
Also it looks like you can only see the first sentence of the article because of no subscription, OP rushed to get this one posted lol
I agree with quote marking ‘youtube stars’ but I disagree with quote marking the victims 🤣
Curious to see when a similar thing will happen to politicians. I took this decision because the person who funded my political career wants me to endorse that thing 😅😅😅
Not sure if sueing them is the right way to address this problem. But then again, it depends on the law of the country I guess.
All of these people need to be held liable. The absolute bare minimum is the fork over whatever they were paid WITH interest (it could speed up these people paying up with interest rates only climbing). What should be done is the stars that they had pushed FTX and its narrative face a deep dive by law enforcement to see if they knew more/less and then levy additional fines that will go to the recovery fund of users.
Sue them all!! We need less BS videos on youtube about potential pump & dump schemes
This goes go in par with scammers, shilling coins without disclosing they were paid. Creating pumps and dumps, they are the worst part of crypto
Where can I sue do Kwon for fucking me rough with UST?
Bitboy is there (insert shocked pikachu face) lol
I always had a fishy feeling about that Singh guy, his videos always felt a little Tony Robins-ish to me
Awesome stuff
Yikes that’s pathetic.
Oh man thats a lot of dollas
lmfao that meet Keven guy is such a fuckin tool.
I don’t believe this case will go anywhere.
But this lawsuit will discourage future drifters/scammers.
Get bitchboy to prison. The others should just get banned from YouTube
Influencers who shilled Celsius are a bit worse though…
Hate all these financial youtubers with their ugly Thumbnails, blah blah blah “not financial advice”. Who didn’t care who got screwed over, hope they get whats coming to them.
Damn, Erika should have read the fine print.
This isn’t going to go anywhere or it will threaten the use celebrity endorsements for any product or service.
Youtube is for fixing appliances, not for financial advice.
Not surprised. You’re not the first or last scammers. Justice will be served.
Take them all down!
**Buttlicker our prices have never been lower!**
Well, it looks like some influencers may have been ‘influenced’ by their own financial gain when promoting FTX
The blind leading the blind.
It’s a wake up call.
I’m so sick of celebs and people being sued because people are fucking sheep and can’t think for themselves.
If you’re not giving profits to them when you are up or in the green, don’t be looking for a hand out and placing blame when you down or in the red.
